Hi there! My name is Bhamini and I am the founder of Green Leaf Teahouse, a small family business specialising in a premium selection of artisan and traditional loose leaf teas from boutique tea plantations around the world.

Having grown up in India, I started drinking tea from a very young age, unaware of the expansive variety of teas until I made my first overseas trip to Asia. I discovered the wide world of tea while living in the east and this is what piqued my curiosity and with it started my fascination and journey to discover tea at a deeper level.

After years of exploring, studying and sampling teas from all over the world, I decided to embark on my tea dream , launching Green Leaf Teahouse in Gold Coast, Queensland in 2018. 

Australia's coffee drinking- culture is commonly adapted by a lot of multicultural people from tea-drinking countries and it's important to me that the love for tea be preserved. I started Green Leaf Teahouse to offer easy access to a variety of premium range artisan, traditional and freshly harvested loose leaf teas from the point of origin to the local multicultural community. My focus was to start local and then go global. 

It is my privilege to collaborate with AUSTCS (Australian Tea Culture Seminar)  team as the Gold Coast Tea Ambassador where we have planned and organized the annual tea seminars in Tasmania in 2019, Virtual seminar in 2020 and 2021 that met with great enthusiasm and success.

AUSTCS has given me endless opportunities to connect with tea businesses and enthusiasts and create more tea awareness in the local community ( Brisbane BrewIN , Laneway tea festival , Ayurveda for Women's health High tea  , Tea lovers Journal etc).

It warms my heart to have a job where I get to share my love of tea with others and find common stories over a cuppa whether at a local community market, at tea workshops or via social media. I am always eager to bring more awareness to the world of tea and I would love to hear from you.
