SOBA CHA | BUCKWHEAT TEA

SOBA CHA | BUCKWHEAT TEA

Regular price $12.50 $0.00

Soba Cha, also known as roasted buckwheat tea, is a delightful Japanese beverage with a toasty, nutty flavour. Naturally caffeine-free, it can be savoured hot or cold, making it perfect for any time of the day. Additionally, it can be sprinkled over salads for an extra crunch and flavour boost.

Soba Cha is a beloved tea in Japan and Southeast Asia, celebrated for its numerous health benefits. Contrary to its name, it is not a type of wheat or grain, but a fruit seed related to rhubarb.

Ingredients*:

Tartary Buckwheat

Origin:

Tokachi, Aomori, Japan

*sourced from organic origins

Steeping guide:

Tea: 1 tbsp Water: 100°C, 1 cup   Time: 2-4 mins

Enjoy multiple infusions :)

How to prepare:

There is no set rule for brewing tea because each tea type is different.

This is a rough guide to get you started. Please experiment to find your ideal steeping time based on your personal taste.

Before preparing any type of tea always warm the teapot and teacups by rinsing it with hot water.

Put 1 tbsp of tea in the preheated tea pot and add water at 100°C and let it steep for 2-4 minutes.

For the subsequent infusions, experiment with increasing the steeping time with each infusion by 1-2 minutes or longer.
